CNC Machinery Coming To Acrytec!

As the year winds to a close and the holiday season draws upon us, it’s time to reflect on the good, learn from our experiences, and gear up for a busy and exciting 2017 ahead! But the innovations of 2016 aren’t over yet, as we have more exciting updates to share with you!

New to the Acrytec manufacturing process will be the introduction of our new Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine, set to be fully operational by the end of the year. This involves the use of computers to control machine tools in the manufacturing process, offering unrivalled precision and efficiency when we are producing various panel types.

Under CNC Machining, machine tools function through numerical control. A computer program is customized for an object and the machines are programmed with CNC machining language that essentially controls all features like feed rate, coordination, location and speeds. With CNC machining, the computer can control exact positioning and velocity ensuring the highest standards of master craftsmanship in every panel. 

The process is more precise than manual machining, and can be repeated in exactly the same manner over and over again. Because of the precision possible with CNC Machining, this process can produce complex shapes that would be almost impossible to achieve with manual machining. Now more than ever, we can produce various patterns and shapes that substantially increase the aesthetic appeal of any size project – adding a dimension of creative design that can vibrantly make your project stand out.  

More importantly, this allows the creative visions of architects, engineers, and builders to come to life regardless of the scope and size of their project. Our CNC machine now provides a platform to push the creative envelope – allowing for a more unique and creative implementation of colour, texture, and design in the panels that we produce, and ultimately in the projects that incorporate our systems and technologies.
